Raj Rani @ RAJU vs State of U.P.

The applicant is involved in offences punishable under sections 498A, 304B IPC and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Tundla District Firozabad.

The applicant is the motherinlaw of the deceased Smt. Sunita. It is alleged that she was subjected to cruelty for the demand of dowry, that on 2.4.2001 when the complainant and his brother Lalit were in the inlaws house of Smt. Sunita a quarrel took place between the accused persons and Smt. Sunita. The coaccused Virendra Dixit armed with a D.B.B.L. Gun and the coaccused Pankaj armed with a pistol reached there and fired upon the exhortation by the applicant, that Pankaj has committed the murder by firing at her.

Considering that the applicant is a woman and the role assigned to her is of exhortation only and she is in jail since 16.7.2007, I deem it proper to enlarge her on bail.

Let the applicant Smt. Raj Rani @ Raju involved in Case Crime No. 92 of 2007, under sections 498A, 304B IPC and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Tundla District Firozabad be enlarged on bail on her executing a personal bond of Rs. 60,000/ and furnishing two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Court concerned.
