Satish Kumar Mittal, J.—The petitioners, who are residents of village Sadaranpur, Tehsil Patran, District Patiala, Punjab and contesting the election of Panches have filed the instant writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, for setting aside the order dated 14.6.2013 (Annexure P-3) passed by respondent No. 2, whereby the Ward-Bandi for the elections of the Gram Panchayat of village Sadaranpur has been changed in an arbitrary manner. It is the fact that the petitioners filed the nomination papers after the said order as per previous Ward-Bandi. Their nomination papers have been accepted. The elections are going to be held on 3rd July 2013.

At this stage we are not inclined to interfere in the matter as the petitioners have efficacious remedy of filing the election petition challenging the election of the successful candidate on the aforesaid ground.

Thus, in view of these facts and the law laid down by the Hon''ble Supreme Court in N.P. Ponnuswami Vs. Returning Officer, Namakkal Constituency and Others, ; Boddula Krishnaiah and another Vs. State Election Commissioner, A.P. and others, ; and Election Commission of India Through Secretary Vs. Ashok Kumar and Others, at this stage, this petition cannot be entertained. Dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to avail the alternative remedy of filing the election petition challenging the election of the successful candidate on the aforesaid ground.
