Hon'ble Shri Bibhu Datta Guru, Judge

1.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that by the impugned order of transfer, the petitioner has been transferred from the Office of the District Excise Officer, District Dhamtari, to the Office of the Excise Commissioner, Chhattisgarh, Headquarter, on administrative grounds. However, in the said transfer order, the petitioner has been shown as Assistant Grade-III, whereas he has already been promoted to the post of Assistant Grade-II. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that although the petitioner is presently working as Assistant Grade-II, his transfer has been shown against the post of Assistant Grade-III.

2.

During the course of hearing, learned State counsel, placing on record the corrigendum dated 01.10.2026, submits that the necessary correction has been carried out in the transfer order dated 16.09.2026, whereby the designation of the petitioner has been corrected from Assistant Grade-III to Assistant Grade-II.

3.

In view of the aforesaid correction having been carried out by the respondents, the grievance raised by the petitioner no longer survives. Consequently, the writ petition has become infructuous and is accordingly dismissed as having become infructuous.
