This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioner, in this Interim Application, prays for extension of interim bail granted to him vide order dated 07.03.2022 passed in I.A. No.1386 of 2021 arising out BLAPL No.1923 of 2021.
The petitioner is in custody in connection with C.T. Case No.02/204 of 2019, arising out of Sahid Nagar P.S. Case No.208 of 2019, pending in the court of the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar for commission of offences under Sections 20 (b)(ii)(C) of the N.D.P.S. Act.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that interim bail period of the petitioner is going to be expired on 16.04.2022. He further submits that the health condition of the wife of the petitioner is very critical and she needs constant medical care. Hence, the petitioner seeks extension of interim bail granted earlier.
Considering the submissions and the health condition of the wife of the petitioner, prayer is allowed. The interim bail period granted to the petitioner vide the aforesaid order is extended for another period of one month. The petitioner shall surrender before the court in seisin over the matter on or before the exact date of completion of extended interim bail period. This order shall be read as a part of the original order.
Accordingly, the I.A. is disposed of.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
