Judgment
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the authority may be directed to consider and decide the petitioner''s request, which he shall be making within next one week. At this point in time, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition, save and except that the petitioner may be protected and respondent be directed to take decision on the appeal.
As such, without devolving upon the issue of maintainability, present petition is disposed of with the following directions: (a) Petitioner shall approach the respondent authority for redressal of his grievance arising out of impugned order dated 6.5.2017, annexure P-1. He shall do so within one week from today.
(b) Respondent authority shall consider and decide such request within a period of one week thereafter. Till and so long, decision is taken on the request of the petitioner, impugned order qua petitioner shall not be effected, save and except if the petitioner fails to approach within one week.
Liberty is reserved to the petitioner to approach the competent authority for redressal of his grievance, if he still remains aggrieved. Copy Dasti.
