CMP (M) No. 1742 of 2011.
Heard. The delay in filing the appeal is condoned. The application is disposed of.
LPA No. 516 of 2011.
The petitioner is the appellant. The issue pertains to admission to JBT in the quota available for distinguished sportsmen. On 13th December, 2011, this Court passed the following order:
Learned Standing Counsel for the Board shall get instruction as to whether the petitioner would have been otherwise accommodated in the academic session 2006-08, 2008-10, 2010-12 or could be accommodated in 2012-14 in view of the quota available for the outstanding sportsmen against the OBC category.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that for the previous years, the petitioner could not be admitted since more distinguished sportsmen were available. It is further submitted that admission to 2012-2014 is yet to start. For the admission to the academic year 2012-14, the petitioner shall be considered against the quota available for the distinguished sportsmen, as and when the process is started.
The appeal is disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
