This Court by order dated 03.08.2017, directing the 1st respondent/Secretary, Government of School Education Department, Chennai, to pass appropriate orders on the proposal submitted by the 2nd respondent/Director of School Education, Chennai, proceeding in Na.Ka.No.21916/W1/E1/2016, dated 30.01.2017 and to pass appropriate order and produce the copy of the order before this Court and directed the Registry to post the matter on 09.12.2017.

When the matter has been taken up today, the learned Special Government Pleader Mr.R.Govindasamy, has produced the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.260 School Education Department, dated 11.12.2017, by stating that pursuant to the Interim orders passed by this Court dated 03.08.2017, the 1st respondent/Secretary has passed the Government Order in which the ratio was changed from 2:5:2 into 2:7 i.e. 2% to the High School Headmaster promotion and 7% to the Post Graduate teachers for the post of promotion as Headmaster was changed. In respect of changing the ratio from 2:5:2 into 2:7, the 1st respondent/Secretary has directed the 2nd respondent/Director of School Education Department for necessary correction and the 1st respondent also states that the above G.O.Ms.No.260 School Education Department, dated 11.12.2017, the 1st respondent/Secretary has directed the Director of School Education to submit appropriate report for amending the Rule 2(b)(i) of the Special Rules of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Education Services.

The 1st respondent in G.O.Ms.No.260 School Education Department, dated 11.12.2017 has passed the following orders in paragraph 7 and 8: "VERNACULAR MATTER OMITTED"

The copy of the Government Order also given to the learned counsels appearing for the petitioners and they were also agreed for the same.

Recording the said submissions and the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.260, School Education Department, dated 11.12.2017, all the three writ petitions are disposed with a direction to the 2nd respondent/Director of School Education to submit a report for appropriate amendment in the Special Rule(2)(b)(i) as early as possible and on receipt of the said report from the 2nd respondent/ Director of School Education, Chennai, the 1st respondent/Secretary, Education Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders without any delay. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
