By way of the instant contempt petition, prayer has been made on behalf of the petitioner for initiation of contempt proceedings against the
respondents for having willfully and intentionally disobeyed the directions contained in the judgment dated 18.12.2019, passed by a Co-ordinate Bench
of this Court in CWP No.1517 of 2019, whereby direction came to be issued to the respondent-Himachal Road Transport Corporation to consider the
case of the petitioner for conversion into contract basis post completion of five years continuous service on Piece Meal basis w.e.f. 27.09.2013
onwards within a period of four weeks.
Since no action, whatsoever, came to be initiated at the behest of the respondents towards implementation of the aforesaid judgment, petitioner has
been compelled to approach this Court in the instant proceedings.
Mr. Vikas Rajput, Advocate, representing the respondents while accepting notice on behalf of the respondents contended that though he has every
reason to believe and presume that by now aforesaid judgment alleged to have been violated, must have been complied with, but if not, same would be
implemented positively within a period of two weeks from today.
Consequently, in view of the statement made by learned counsel for the respondents, this Court sees no reason to keep the present petition alive
and as such, same is accordingly disposed of with the direction to the respondents to do the needful within a period of two weeks, if not already done,
failing which, they would further aggravate the contempt. Petitioner is at liberty to get the present proceedings revived in case aforesaid
order/judgment is not complied with, so that appropriate action, in accordance with law is taken against erring official. Notices issued to the
respondents are hereby discharged accordingly.
