This Court, while dismissing the earlier bail petition of the petitioner herein in Crl.O.P.No.27524 of 2024, vide order dated 13.11.2024 directed the Trial Court to complete the trial within 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Thereafter, the petitioner filed this present bail application in Crl.O.P.No.12306 of 2025 and this Court, vide order dated 18.09.2025, called for report from the Trial Court regarding the stage of the case in C.C.No.556 of 2024 pending trial on the file of the I Additional Special Court for NDPS Act, Chennai.
The Trial Judge, vide her letter dated 07.10.2025 has given the report from the date from which she had taken charge i.e., from 12.06.2025, but the stage of the case, after dismissal of the earlier bail application of the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.27524 of 2024 dated 13.11.2024 is required by this Court.
In view of the above, Registry is directed to call for the additional report regarding the stage of the case, especially after the dismissal of the earlier bail application of the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.27524 of 2025 (i.e.,) from 13.11.2024 in C.C.No.556 of 2024 pending trial on the file of the I Additional Special Court for NDPS Act, Chennai. Report by 03.11.2025.
