Judgment

Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner along with the compounding application (IA/1/2025) for quashing the impugned FIR No.221 of 2022 registered at P.S. Raipur, District Dehradun, under Sections 498A, 323 IPC and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (Annexure No.2 of the writ petition on the basis of a compromise entered into between the parties.
This Court vide previous order dated 04.06.2025 directed the parties to the proceedings to appear before the District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun on 09.06.2025, who, in turn, was directed to record the statements of parties and verify the contents of the affidavits filed along with the compounding application.
The compliance report of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun dated 09.06.2025 is available on record.
From perusal of the compliance report, it is evidently clear that both the parties have entered into compromise and there is no dispute pending between them as they have settled their disputes amicably. Parties were also duly identified before the said authority.
In this view of the matter, Compounding Application (IA/1/2025) is allowed. As a result, the FIR No.221 of 2022 registered at P.S. Raipur, District Dehradun, under Sections 498A, 323 IPC and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, and all the proceedings subsequent thereto are hereby quashed.
The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
