This application has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time as granted by this Court vide order dated 28.07.2023.

This Court, vide order dated 28.07.2023, decided the anticipatory bail application with liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the trial court on or before 10.08.2023 and till then, interim protection was granted that the petitioner shall not be arrested in connection with the FIR.

Learned counsel submitted that the petitioner’s wife had expired and his son was undergoing treatment, therefore, the petitioner could not surrender before the trial court. Learned counsel thus prayed that time to surrender before the trial court may be extended by a period of 15 days.

Considering the submissions made at bar and the fact that the petitioner’s presence was required for attending to his ailing son, the application is disposed of.

The period of interim protection granted to the present applicant vide order 28.07.2023 is extended upto 25.08.2023. The petitioner is directed to surrender before the trial court on or before 25.08.2023. It is made clear that no further extension shall be granted to the petitioner.
