Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.:-

1.

Affidavit-of-service filed today be kept on record.

2.

On the prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner, leave is granted to the learned Advocate-on-record for the writ petitioner to rectify the prayer portion of the writ petition by tomorrow.

3.

The innocuous prayer made before us is early disposal of a representation pending before the B.L. & L.R.O in respect of the petitioner’s request to mutate the petitioner’s name in the concerned records of rights.

4.

It transpires that the Original Application, from which the present writ petition arises, was filed with such specific prayer as well.

5.

Since we are apprised that all concerned, including the petitioner and the private respondent, have already entered appearance before the B.L. & L.R.O, the ends of justice would be sub-served if the O.A. is treated to be disposed of and the B.L. & L.R.O is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner at the earliest.

6.

Accordingly, WPLRT 141 of 2026 is disposed of by treating O.A. 4234 of 2022 (LRTT), pending before the First Bench of the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal, to be disposed of and directing the respondent no. 4, that is, the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Basirhat-II to dispose of the representation of the writ petitioner for mutation of his name in the records of rights as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law, upon giving adequate opportunity of hearing to all concerned, including the writ petitioner and the private respondent, preferably within four months from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no.4.

7.

For the purpose of compliance, the respondent no.4 and all others shall act on server copy of this order, without unnecessarily insisting upon prior production ofcertified copy thereof.

8.

There will be no order as to costs.

9.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.

I agree.
