PHIROZE AMROLIWALLA vs INDIAN RAILWAYS

-HEARD Mr. Phiroze Amroliwalla, Complainant, who appeared in person and Mr. M.C. Sharma, Senior Commercial Manager, Western Railway, Church Gate, Bombay. It is represented to us by Mr. Sharma that the term of the Zonal Advisory/Consultative Committee for the Western Railway Zone, has expired on 30th April, 1994 and hence there cannot be any question of nominating the complainant to the said Committee. It is further submitted by Mr. Sharma that the setting up of a fresh Zonal Advisory/Consultative Committee may take sometime and that in the mean time Mr. Amroliwalla can be nominated as a Member of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee of the Central and Western Railway in case this Commission so directs. We direct that Mr. Amroliwalla shall be nominated as the Member of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee for the Central and Western Railway, Bombay Division, as an interim measure and that as and when the Zonal Advisory Consultative Committee is formed for these Railways, his name shall be included as a member of the said Committee also. The Original Petition is disposed of with this direction. The parties will bear their respective costs. Ordered accordingly.
