Judgment
Ahanthem Bimol Singh, J
Heard Mr. N. Ibotombi, learned senior counsel assisted by Mrs. N. Savitri, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Kh. Samarjit, learned DSGI assisted by Mr. Nongdamba, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
It has been contended by the petitioner that without notifying the amended Recruitment Rules for the post of Assistant Professor (Health Education & Family Welfare) non medical in the Official Gazette and without finalising the process of the said amended Recruitment Rules, the authorities have issued the advertisement 20-02-2024 inviting application for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor (Health Education & Family Welfare) against which the petitioner is claiming for promotion. According to the learned senior counsel, such advertisement is illegal and not sustainable. The learned counsel accordingly prays for passing an interim order for suspending the said impugned advertisement.
Mr. Kh. Samarjit, learned DSGI appearing for the respondents prays for taking up this matter in the next week so as to enable him to get instruction from the authorities as to whether the said amended Recruitment Rules has been notified in the official gazette or not.
