Judgment
Alok Singh, J.—This is an application seeking anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 26 dated 18.3.2010 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 473 IPC, P.S. Nurmahal, District Jalandhar. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner as well as the complainant have stated at the Bar that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties.
Learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from Mr. Harjinder Singh, ASI, states that the police has no knowledge about the alleged compromise. However, it is clear that neither custodial interrogation of the Petitioner is required nor anything is to be recovered from him.
Considering totality of the facts and circumstances of the case, present petition is allowed and it is directed that in the event of arrest of the Petitioner, he shall be released on bail by the Investigating Officer on furnishing his personal bond and one surety of Rs. 20,000/-each, subject to the limitations provided u/s 438(2) of the Code. Petitioner - accused shall participate in the investigation as and when he is required.
