K.C. Puri, J.—Petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail for offence under Sections 307, 382, 342, 365, 363, 504, 506, 120-B/148, 149, 323 IPC and Section 25/54/59 of Arms Act.

As per allegation made in the FIR Sarabjit Kaur alongwith others stopped the car of the complainant and took out the complainant from his car and snatched the car keys, purse and cash Rs. 39,000/- alongwith two ATM cards of SBI and one cheque book of State Bank of Patiala, driving licence etc. They took off the clothes of the complainant and gave him beatings. All of them demanded Rs. 10 lacs. Three persons surrounded the complainant and Sarabjit Kaur alongwith other persons had gone to ATM to withdraw the money through ATM cards. They have also got his signatures on the blank cheque and other cheque of State Bank of Patiala by filling the amount of Rs. 2,80,000/-.

Sarabjit Kaur had given the name of the Petitioner. The offence complained of is serious in nature. So, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out.

Consequently, the petition stands dismissed.
