1] They are heard. Perused the case-diary/documents.

2] This is the applicant's first bail (regular bail) application filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/ Section 439 of Cr.P.C. as he is implicated in connection with Crime No.636/2025 registered at Police Station Dhamnod, District- Dhar (MP) for offence punishable under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act. The applicant is in custody since 13/12/2025.

However, on the ground of applicant's grandfather's death, temporary bail is being sought.

3] Allegation against the applicant is that he was found in possession of 10 Kg 400 grams of Cannabis (Ganja), the commercial quantity of which is 20 Kg.

4] Counsel for the applicant has submitted that this is the applicant's first offence as the applicant is lodged in jail since 13.4.2025. It is further submitted that the grandfather applicant has died yesterday; thus, temporary bail be granted to the applicant for a period of two weeks.

5] Counsel for the respondent/State has opposed the prayer.

6] In view of the same, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present application is being considered as a temporary application for bail, and the same is hereby allowed. It is directed that subject to the verification of the death certificate of the applicant's grand father by the trial Court, the applicant shall be released on temporary bail for a period of two weeks only from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five thousand) with one solvent surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned trial Court. That applicant shall surrender before the Trial Court immediately on or before the expiry of aforesaid period, failing which, the Police Authority will be at liberty to arrest the applicant without further reference to this Court.

7] Accordingly, the present application stands allowed and disposed of.
