Judgment
Satpal, J.—I have heard the Learned Counsel for the parties. Admittedly, the Respondent husband is getting monthly salary of Rs. 2463/-. By the impugned order, the wife is being paid meagre sum of Rs. 500/- per month as maintenance allowances.
Learned Counsel for the Petitioner has placed reliance on two judgments of this Court in Pawan Kumar v. Smt. Sushila 1995 (2) RR 411 and Seema v. Devender Vohra 1992 (1) PLR 250.
Learned Counsel for the Respondent submits that the Respondent is also maintaining his old mother. Keeping in view the facts of the case and the law laid down by this Court in the above mentioned judgments, I am of the opinion that it would meet the ends of justice if the maintenance allowance granted to the Petitioner wife is increased from Rs. 500/- to Rs. 750/- per month. Accordingly, I modify the order passed by the learned trial Court to the extent that the Respondent shall pay Rs. 750A per month to the Petitioner wife instead of Rs. 500/- from the date of application.
With this modification, this petition stands disposed of.
