Devan Ramachandran, J
When this matter was called today, Smt.Vidya Kuriakose – learned Government Pleader, submitted that the Appeal preferred by the petitioner is being considered today by the competent Appellate Authority and that they have also been asked to be present for the hearing. She added that, it is only after the Appellate Authority takes a final decision on the Appeal, will the State level drama competition be held in the event in question.
The afore submissions of the learned Government Pleader certainly allay the apprehensions of the petitioner substantially, if not fully. In fact, the learned counsel for the petitioner also acceded to this.
In the afore circumstances, I close this Writ Petition recording the afore submissions of the learned Government Pleader; with a concomitant direction to the competent Appellate Authority to ensure that the decision on the petitioner’s Appeal is communicated to them, on 10.11.2023 itself, since the next competitions are stated to commence on 13.11.2023.
