Judgment
Pursuant to the order passed by this Tribunal on 08.11.2021, notice issued to the Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, CPPC, Samriddhi Bhawan, 1 Strand Road, Kolkata, West Bengal-700 001 has been served. In spite thereof, none appeared for the Bank.
Issue bailable warrant of arrest to the Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, CPPC, Samriddhi Bhawan, 1 Strand Road, Kolkata, West Bengal-700 001 on a bail warrant of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) to the satisfaction of the arresting officer to be present before this Court on 24th January, 2022 and to show cause as to why action should not be taken against him for not complying with the directions issued and implementing the benefits that accrued to the applicant by virtue of the PPO. The bailable warrant be issued for production of the Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, CPPC, Samriddhi Bhawan, 1 Strand Road, Kolkata, West Bengal-700 001 by the Registry in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Principal Registrar.
We are constrained to issue this bailable warrant on account of the inaction on the part of the Bank in not crediting the amount that accrued to the applicant by virtue of the PPO issued, and every day we are facing situations where, in spite of PPOs being issued, amount is not credited to the bank accounts of the retired employees on account of the inaction on the part of the Bank. To set this right, strict coercive action is required to be taken and, therefore, this order.
A copy of this order be forwarded to the bank for information. 4. List the matter on 24.01.2022.
