Judgment
This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution is directed against the order dated 3.2.2017 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench, whereby it has dismissed petitioners'' OA No.040/00021/ 2017.
The sole claim of the petitioners before the Tribunal was that they be declared to be entitled to the seniority and year of allotment of 2004, instead of 2005, as done by order No.1-15011/13/2012-IPS-1 dated 12.06.2012 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. But the Tribunal disagreed with the petitioners and dismissed their original application by the impugned order.
The learned senior counsel for the petitioners, in the light of recent office memorandum dated 3.11.2017 of the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, has prayed for withdrawal of the present petition.
In view of the aforesaid statement, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn. It is, however, expected and hoped that the petitioners'' claim for seniority and year of allotment shall be considered in the light of the above referred office memorandum dated 3.11.2017.
