Judgment

Mr. Ajoy Pebam, learned counsel appeared for the petitioner and Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned GA appearing for the official respondent Nos. 1 to 4 seeks three weeks’ further time for filing counter affidavit.
The prayer is vehemently objected by Mr. Ajoy Pebam, learned counsel for the petitioner on the ground that on the last occasion, the learned GA had already submitted that he had received instruction and counter affidavit will be filed within ten days. Be that as it may, counter affidavit of the official respondents are necessary for determining the issue involved in the present writ petition, this Court is granting three weeks’ time as last chance for filing counter affidavit. It is made clear that if the official respondents failed to file their counter affidavits on or before the next date, they can file the counter affidavit subject to payment of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees five thousand) to be paid to the High Court Bar Assn., Manipur.
As prayed for, list this case again on 25-09-2023.
