The challenge in these appeals, one filed by respondent No.6 and the other by Nellaya Grama Panchayat (respondent No.3), is against an interim order dated 21.02.2023 in W.P.(C)No.1862 of 2023, by which the learned single Judge granted stay against implementation of the impugned order and stop memos for three months.
Apart from the aforesaid period having expired way back in the month of May 2023, it is reported that the lease period also expired on 27.04.2023. We, therefore, deem it fit not to interfere with the impugned order. It is needless to say that the present appellants may proceed with the writ petitions. We also expect that the writ petition shall be dealt with, without being influenced by the interim order passed in the present proceedings.
Learned Advocate for the writ petitioner states that the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) shall be impleaded as party respondent in the writ petition.
The writ appeals are accordingly disposed of.
