1 Though the prayer is widely couched for a mandamus directing the respondents to pay Rs. 23,614/- (death cum gratuity Rs. 8,901/-),

(commutation of pension Rs. 14,715/-), earned leave salary with penal interest 24% and also direct the respondents to pay the difference in

revised monthly pension based on petitioners special grade pay and other retirement benefits based on the revised enhancement pay and

allowances and direct the respondents to pay the petitioner the difference in the Provident Fund account and special provident fund due to the

petitioner forthwith, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner fairly submitted that it would be suffice if a direction is issued to the first

respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 9.6.2003

As the scope of the prayer as submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is very limited, V. Duraisolaimalai, Government

Pleader is put on notice and the respondents are hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 9.6.2003 and pass

appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
