Amol Rattan Singh, J

All cases listed today have been taken up for hearing by way of video conferencing because of the situation existing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On 23.7.2020, the following order had been passed:-

“All cases listed today have been taken up for hearing by way of video conferencing because of the situation existing due to the Covid-19

pandemic.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari setting aside/quashing the 'impugned action' (Annexure P-1) of

respondents no.1 to 3, disqualifying the petitioner to act as a Director from 1.11.2017.

He further seeks issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari, directing respondents no.1 to 3 to reactivate his DIN (Director

Identification Number) and permit him to continue as a Director of any company, without any hindrance.

Even prior to arguments being addressed by learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Arun Gosain, learned counsel appearing for the Union of India, has

raised a preliminary objection on the jurisdiction of this court to entertain this petition, with him pointing to the fact that the company that the petitioner

was a Director in, is based in Thane, Maharashtra, with it not shown any where that the order passed, disqualifying the petitioner, was passed within

the jurisdiction of this court.

Mr.Mukul Goyal, learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks time to take instructions in that regard.

On his request, adjourned to 7.8.2020.â€

Today, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner does not pursue this petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
