Judgment
Surjit Singh, J.—Heard and gone through the record.
A case has been registered, u/s 302, 201, 120B of the Indian Penal Code, against the Petitioner, her husband Vikas Deep and two brothers of her husband, Raman Deep and Nav Deep. According to the prosecution, on 16th June, 2010, Vikas Deep, husband of the present Petitioner, after leaving the Petitioner at a school where she used to work as a Teacher those days, went back home and asked the girl, employed by the family for domestic jobs, to clean the room. He got annoyed, when the girl did not do her job properly. First he slapped her and then dealt a Danda blow on her head. The girl died. Vikas Deep then went to the school, during lunch hour and brought the Petitioner back home and with her help and the help of his two brothers, named above, buried the dead body, after digging a pit. Crime came to light ten days later and FIR was registered.
Petitioner is not involved in the offence of murder or the offence of conspiracy to commit murder. She is alleged to have committed offence of destruction of evidence and conspiracy to destroy the evidence, punishable u/s 201 of the Indian Penal Code. Offence, u/s 201 of the Indian Penal Code, is bailable. Hence, the petition is allowed and the Petitioner is ordered to be released, on her furnishing bail bond in the sum of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Una. Petition stands disposed of.
