Judgment
Paramjeet Singh, J.—In this petition filed u/s 482 Cr. P.C., the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 120 dated 24.6.2012, registered at Police Station Jandiala Guru, under Sections 3/4/5/7 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1956. Learned Counsel for the petitioners does not press this petition and has made the only prayer that till filing of the challan, exemption from personal appearance be granted to the petitioners as no useful purpose will be served by calling the petitioners when no proceedings are to be taken up.
I have considered the contention of the Learned Counsel for the petitioners.
As prayed, dismissed as withdrawn. However, the petitioners may move an application for exemption from personal appearance before the court concerned. If such an application is filed, then till the filing of the challan, the court will consider the prayer for grant of exemption from personal appearance sympathetically because no useful purpose will be served by calling the petitioners time and again when no proceedings are to be taken up.
