Judgment
Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The petitioner has filed this writ petition with the following prayers:
(i) That the orders dated 20.12.2007 vide Annexure A-3, reverting/transferring/divesting the applicant of the work of the higher post may kindly be quashed and set aside.
(ii) That the respondents may be directed to allow the applicant to perform the work of Senior Statistical Assistant/Senior Assistant (birth and deaths) till the decision of OA (D) 350/2005 or till the duties of a Projectionist are made workable forthwith.
(iii) That the respondents may be directed to give the benefit of difference in wages on the equal pay for equal work and to consider the case of the applicant for appointment as Senior Statistical Assistant/Senior Assistant (birth and deaths) as prayed in OA (D) 350/2005 forthwith.
The petitioner submits that he has no objection in working but he must be allowed to work on the post on which he has been appointed as Projectionist. There will be a direction to the respondents to see that the required action is taken so as to enable the petitioner to work on the post on which he has been appointed and in case there is no such need for the post, the petitioner shall be appropriately accommodated on equivalent post and the needful in this regard shall be done within a period of three months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of.
