Judgment
Justice V.K. Ahuja, J.—Present petition has been filed u/s 439 of Cr.P.C. for grant of bail in FIR No. 2/2012, dated 22.9.2012, registered u/s 61(1)(a) of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 and 420 IPC at Police Station Kala Amb, District Sirmaur, H.P. Heard. The petitioner is involved in the recovery of 529 boxes of liquor. The application was rejected by this Court on November 5, 2012 by observing that the investigation in the case is incomplete. I have been informed at the Bar that the investigation is now complete and challan has already been filed before the learned trial Court. The trial of the case is likely to take time.
Accordingly, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing two personal bonds in the sum of Rs. 50,000/- each, with two sureties in the sum of Rs. 50,000/- each, to the satisfaction of the learned trial Court, undertaking to appear before the learned trial Court, as and when called. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
