Judgment
K.S. Garewal, J.—The petitioner is seeking bail in F.I.R. No. 221 dated August 22, 2000 registered under Sections 307/34/302 I.P.C. and 25/24/59 of the Arms Act at Police Station Nissing, District Karnal, with regard to the alleged murder of Mohinder who, was allegedly stabbed in the stomach and chest by Krishan, co-accused of the petitioner. The petitioner was alleged to have caught hold of the deceased when he was stabbed by Krishan. The occurrence was witnessed by eye witnesses. The trial is in progress and is listed for April 4 and 5, 2001. The circumstances of the case do not warrant further detention of the petitioner in custody. The petitioner shall be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond in the sum of Rs. 1 lac with two sureties in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Karnal.
Direction is given to the trial Court that trial is disposed of expeditiously and no unnecessary adjournments are granted.
Petition allowed.
