Judgment
Admit. The Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
The petitioner is a stage carriage operator on the route Thenkode- Kothamangalam with stage carriage bearing registration No. KL-17/C-9605. The
permit issued to the petitioner is valid till 10.1.2023. The petitioner submitted Exhibit P2 application seeking replacement of the above stage carriage by
stage carriage bearing registration No.KL 44/1541. It is stated that Exhibit P2 application has been submitted on 30.12.2020. The petitioner submits
that owing to the pandemic, applications are not directly accepted in the office and the same are to be deposited in a box kept for the purpose and the
fee in respect of the replacement of the vehicle has also not been accepted. The petitioner has approached this Court, praying that the respondent may
be directed to entertain Exhibit P2 application for replacement and pass final orders on the same at the earliest.
Considering the limited prayer made in the Writ petition, the respondent is directed to entertain Exhibit P2 application for replacement and to pass
final orders on the same in accordance with law, within 2 months from the receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
