Judgment
Suvir Sehgal, J
By way of present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., petitioner has sought direction to respondent No.2 to register FIR under Section 174-A IPC against accused, who have been declared as proclaimed persons by learned Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh vide order dated 28.07.2022, Annexure P5, in a complaint instituted by him under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
Learned Additional P.P., U.T., Chandigarh has filed a status report by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Crime Cell, Sector 24, U.T., Chandigarh, wherein it has been submitted that FIR No.114 dated 25.09.2023 has been lodged under Section 174-A IPC at Police Station Mani Majra, Chandigarh. It has been further submitted that raids had been conducted to arrest the accused and one of them, namely, Heavent Sudhir Malhotra has been apprehended.
In view of the above, prayer made in the petition has become infructuous.
Petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
