Judgment
1.There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
The petitioner has approached this Court seeking protection of her life and liberty as she apprehended threat to the same at the hands of the private respondents.
Pursuant to order dated 20.9.2019, a short reply by way of affidavit of Jatinder Singh, PPS, ACP Civil Lines, Ludhiana, has been filed on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3 which is accompanied by a statement of the petitioner annexed as Annexure R-1/T which reads as follows:
"Stated that I am the resident of above said address. I love with Suraj s/o Ram Bhawan r/o Malhi Da Vehra, Opp. Petrol Pump, Hargobind Nagar, Haibowal Kalan, Ludhiana and he is residing with same Vehra. My parents want to marry with one old aged person due to this I solemnized marriage with Suraj on 16.8.2019 against the wishes of my parents. My father lodged one FIR No. 248 dated 16.8.2019 under Sections 363, 366-A IPC, Police Station division No. 8, Ludhiana against Suraj s/o Ram Bhawal R/o Malhi Da Vehra, Opp. Petrol Pump, Hargobind Nagar, Haibowal Kalan, Ludhiana. At that time I gave one application due to fear that I solemnized marriage with Suraj with my own sweet will and my husband not kidnapped me. Now I am living with my husband happily. Now I did not want to take any action against in my above said application. It is therefore prayed that application moved by me may kindly be filed. I have gave this statement with my full consciousness and in the presence of my husband. Statement is written heard and admitted correct."
In view of the aforesaid statement, it appears that the petitioner no longer apprehends any threat to her life and liberty. The petition, as such, is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
It is however, clarified that in case the petitioner apprehends any threat to her life and liberty at the later stage, it shall be open to her to move a fresh petition before this Court seeking appropriate relief.
