Judgment
Amol Rattan Singh, J
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the persons (stated to be police officials), at the hands of whom the petitioners were apprehending a threat to their life, having been arrested by the Maharastra Police in Mumbai, presently the petitioners are not apprehending any immediate threat to their life now, and consequently do not press this petition but seek the liberty that if the said persons are released on bail etc., they may be allowed to approach this Court again, by way of a similar petition.
Dismissed as withdrawn, with the aforesaid liberty.
After the aforesaid part of the order had been dictated, learned State counsel submits that petitioners no.2 and 3 are actually hard core criminals, with about 41 FIRs registered against them and consequently they in any case do not deserve any protection from proceedings against them.
In any case the petition having been withdrawn, no order for protection has been pressed upon by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but it is made clear that the liberty granted to the petitioners to approach this Court again, on an apprehension that their lives are in danger, would not make them immune to any proceedings against them as per law, in respect of any crime that they are alleged to have committed.
