By way of instant petition filed under article 215 of the Constitution of India read with Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Court Act 1971, prayer has been made for implementation of judgment passed by this Court dated 19.11.2019, in CWP No. 2854 of 2019, titled Murat Singh versus State of Himachal Pradesh and others, whereby respondents/revenue authorities were directed to verify the assertions, examine the matter and take appropriate action in that regard, within a period of four weeks.
Since no action came to be taken by the respondents towards implementation of the judgment, petitioner has approached this Court in the instant proceedings for implementation of the aforesaid judgment.
Learned counsel for respondents, states that though he has every reason to believe that by now judgment dated 19.11.2019, must have been complied with but if not, same shall be complied with within two weeks.
In view of the fair stand taken by learned counsel for the respondents, this court sees no reason to keep the present proceedings alive and same are disposed of with a direction to respondents/competent authority, to do the needful in terms of judgment dated 19.11.2019, within two weeks, if not already done. Needless to say, in case respondents fail to do the needful in terms of this judgment, petitioner shall be at liberty to get the present petition revived, so that appropriate action is taken against erring officials.
