This writ petition is filed seeking directions to the 1st respondent to report the seizure of the tipper lorry bearing registration No.KL-54-N-6878 of the petitioner to the 2nd respondent so as to enable him to compound the offence alleged against him and seeking a further direction to the 2nd respondent to release the vehicle of the petitioner immediately after compounding the offence.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Ext.P1 is the seizure mahazar in respect of the vehicle and that the vehicle was seized on 03.04.2023.
Having heard the learned Government Pleader also, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions :-
In case the seizure of the tipper lorry bearing registration No.KL-54-N-6878 belonging to the petitioner has not been reported to the 2nd respondent, the 1st respondent shall report the same along with all relevant documents to the 2nd respondent within two days from today. In case the petitioner approaches the 2nd respondent with a request for compounding, such a request will be taken up and considered in accordance with law, within a period of ten days from the date on which the request is made by the petitioner.
