These appeals are filed against an interim order passed by the Hon''ble Single Judge rejecting the application seeking for stay of re-fixation of the salary of the appellants, which was registered as I.A. No.I of 2017.

By a common order dated November 5,2016, the respondent no.1, being the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Chikkamagalur, directed re-fixation of pay of 29 persons with retrospective effect.

Out of the said twenty nine persons, twenty persons, who are not before us, moved a batch of writ petitions and obtained stay of the operation of the order dated November 5, 2016. The remaining nine persons, who are before us, moved another batch of writ petitions and obtained an order of stay of recovery proceedings only, by order dated November 28, 2016.

When the authorities started proceedings to re-fix the salary of the appellants before us, they approached the Hon''ble Single Judge in the pending writ petitions for stay of such re-fixation of their salaries.

Mr.Ashok N.Nayak, learned advocate for the respondent no.1, submits that excepting these two persons, re-fixation of salary has not been undertaken for the other twenty seven employees.

Therefore, we restrain the respondents from re- fixing the salaries of these two employees, also, who are the appellants in these writ appeals.

The order impugned stands set aside. I.A. No.I of 2017 passed in W.P. Nos.60156-60164 of 2016, is allowed.

We request the Hon''ble Single Judge to expedite the hearing of the case, as far as possible.

The writ appeals stand disposed of.

10.

We make no order as to costs.
