The present writ petition has been filed with a limited prayer that the respondents may be directed to conduct a joint survey on the work site for the purpose of evaluation of the work executed by the petitioner and thereafter may be directed to release the outstanding bill payments in favour of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed work in pursuance to the work order issued in his favor however, till date, the respondent-department has not released the payment in his favor for the work that he has already executed because of which the petitioner is facing serious financial hardship.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the respondents may be directed to conduct a joint survey on the site and after evaluating the work completed by the petitioner, the respondents may also be directed to release the payment in his favour for which he is entitled.

Learned counsel for the respondent-State opposes the same.

In view of the submissions made, the respondents are directed to convey a joint survey on the site within a period of four weeks from today in order to evaluate the work executed by the petitioner and accordingly, release the payment in his favour, if the same is outstanding within a period of six weeks from today.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. Stay application and all pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
