The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking expeditious adjudication of PWA No.48/2018, titled as ‘Narender Kumar vs. Sehgal Transport Services Pvt. Ltd. & Ors.,’ which is pending adjudication before the Labour Court-07, Rouse Avenue District Courts, New Delhi.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the delay in disposal of the proceedings initiated before the concerned Labour Court on 27.07.2018 under the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 for recovery of unpaid salary and other service benefits for the period from 02.11.2016 to 16.02.2018 is causing immense prejudice to the petitioner.

Considering the circumstances, the present petition is disposed of with the request to the concerned Labour Court to bestow urgent attention to the matter and make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from today.

Let dates of hearing be scheduled at short interval with an endeavour to adhere to the above timeline.

The petitioner is granted liberty to mention the matter before the concerned Labour Court and apprise the Labour Court of the order passed in these proceedings.

The present petition is disposed of in the above terms along with pending application.
