The petitioner is a Co-operative Society. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the 1st respondent for an expeditious disposal of the execution proceedings initiated in respect of various Awards obtained by the petitioner against its borrowers.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned senior Government Pleader.

Ext P1 is the details of 62 numbers of Execution Petitions instituted by the Bank seeking enforcement of the Awards obtained against its defaulters and which are pending. The Execution Petitions have been pending for the past several years. It is necessary that the proceedings be completed at the earliest.

Accordingly the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to have the Execution Petitions as mentioned in Ext P1 taken to a logical conclusion, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
