The grievance of the writ petitioner as portrayed in the instant writ petition is that, though he has been elected since 27.10.2021 as Headman of Sandi Dewsaw, the Sanad of appointment is yet to be issued by the Acting Wahadadar Shella, on account of some developments and complaints that have been lodged against him. The complaints it appears have been pending consideration before the respondent Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council since 2021, and the hearing has been concluded on 17.11.2023.

Mr. H.L. Shangreiso, learned Senior counsel assisted by Ms. E. Wanniang, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the limited prayer of the writ petitioners before this Court, is for early disposal of the said complaint.

The same is not objected by Mr. V.G.K. Kynta, learned Senior counsel for the respondent District Council.

In view of the submissions of the learned counsels for the parties and the limited prayer made, this writ petition is disposed with a direction that respondent District Council shall dispose of the complaint, within a period of 6(six) weeks, from the date of this order.

This matter stands closed and is disposed of.
