Heard learned Counsel for the parties.

The only dispute in the present writ petition which transpires from the arguments of respective parties is that petitioners want weightage of maximum 30% for the service rendered by them after completing their MBBS Course in government quota in the remotest area of the State. Government orders dated 29.08.2017 (Annexure No.1) and 29.01.2018 (Annexure No.2) provide for such weightage to the petitioners.

It is the contention of learned Senior Counsel appearing for petitioners that all the petitioners have put in more than three years’ service in the remotest area of the State of Uttarakhand in ‘government service’ after completing their MBBS Course, as stated above. It is further argued that for the purpose of granting weightage to petitioners, such weighteage shall be given by respondent nos.3 and 4 on the recommendation of respondent no.2 in the shape of experience certificate.

Per contra, learned State Counsel submits on the basis of instructions dated 15.10.2024, which are taken on record, that the State Government has already issued the experience certificate to the petitioners.

Since the experience certificate has already been issued by the respondent no.2 in favour of petitioners, which is to be handed over to respondent nos.3 and 4 for getting weightage of maximum 30% for the service rendered by them in the remotest area of the State, there is nothing left to be decided in this petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off. Respondent nos.3 and 4 are directed to allow the petitioners to participate in the Counselling pursuant to the afore-mentioned government orders, referred to hereinabove (Annexure Nos.1 and 2 to the writ petition) and grant them weightage of 30% maximum, depending upon their length of service with the government , in remotest areas.

Pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
