M. Jaichandren, J.—Heard Mr. Hari Radhakrishnan, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner, as well as Mr. S. Udayakumar, learned

Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondents.

At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if

the first Respondent is directed to pass an order, as directed by the second Respondent, by his order, dated 19.01.2010, in Order in Appeal

C.CUS.91/2010, within a specified period.

Learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this

Court.

In view of the submissions made by the learned Counsels appearing on either side, the first Respondent is directed to pass an order, with regard

to the request of the Petitioner for converting the drawback Shipping Bills (DBK) into Duty Exemption Entitlement Scheme (DEEC), by giving

sufficient reasons, as directed by the second Respondent in his order, dated 19.01.2010, in Order in Appeal C.CUS.91/2010, within a period of

eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
