Judgment

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus seeking release of detenues, namely, Narjina Bibi (wife of the petitioner) and Meena Khatun (daughter of the petitioner), who are stated to be illegally detained by the private respondents.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has, however, restricted his prayer to the extent of issuance of direction to respondent No.2 - District Magistrate, Jind.
In view of the above submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with a direction to District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Jind to look into the matter in accordance with law keeping in view the provisions of Sections 10 and 12 of the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976. In case, any representation is moved by the petitioner before the District Magistrate, Jind, the same shall be decided expeditiously in accordance with law.
A copy of this order alongwith a copy of the petition be sent to District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Jind so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously.
