Heard learned Counsel for the applicant.
The Family Court, Bareilly, by its order dated 19893 has directed the applicant to pay Rs. 150 per month to his daughter Km. Sonia, aged about 6 years. It has been argued by the learned counsel for the applicant, that he has filed an application claiming custody of the child. I doubt whether the custody of a female child of young age can be given to the father because a female child has problems concerning females which she can confide with her mother only. However, this question shall be decided in separate proceedings and not in these proceedings under Section 125, Cr. P. C.
In my opinion, the amount of Rs. 150 per month is a ridiculously low amount in which it is not possible to keep the body and soul together. The Family Court, Bareilly should have fixed some reasonable amount. In these circumstances, in exercise of revisional powers suo moto the amount of Rs. 150 per month is enchanced to Rs 200 per month from the date of the application i. e. 8792.
A copy of this order shall be sent by the Registry to Smt. Shaheen, daughter of late Iqbal Ahmad alias Laiyya r/o Mohalla Bag Guddar, near Faiyaz Building, P. S. Prem Nagar, district Bareillv under registered cover. Another copy of the judgment shall be sent to the Family Court, Bareilly for being kept on the record.
With the above observations/directions this revision is finally disposed of. Revision disposed of.
