Judgment

By medium of this petition, which was instituted on 01.08.2019, the petitioner had assailed the order of transfer. However, this Court while issuing notices on 02.08.2019, did not stay the order of transfer, resultantly, the petitioner has joined at the place of his transfer, thereby rendering the instant petition infructuous.
However, at this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that his client is going to retire in May, 2021 and in terms of the Transfer Policy, he is entitled to be posted at a station of his choice closer to his home. This is a matter, which is required to be considered by the respondents.
Accordingly, while disposing of the petition, we permit the petitioner to make a representation within a period of one week from today, which shall be considered by the second respondent strictly in accordance with the office memorandum dated 10.07.2019 and relevant instructions issued in this regard, within a further period of two weeks.
The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms, so also the pending application(s), if any, leaving the parties bear their own costs.
