M. Venugopal, J.—Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner has filed the instant writ of mandamus for passing of an order by this Court directing the 2nd Respondent to issue joint patta in name of the petitioner for the landed properties in Survey Nos. 130/6 , 130/7 , 131/1 and issue separate patta in favour for the petitioner''s landed properties in Survey Nos. 322/9 for an extent of 00135 sq.meter and Survey No. 322/8 for an extent of 00115 sq.meter in Ananthoor Village and group Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

At this stage of the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner informed this Court that the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 01.10.2014 addressed to the second respondent/Tahsildar, Thiruvadanai, wherein, he had prayed for issuance of joint patta in respect of item Nos. 1 to 3 properties and sought for issuance of separate patta in respect of item Nos. 4 and 5 of the properties.

In view of the fact that the petitioner has now restricted his relief for passing of an order by this Court in directing the second respondent to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 01.10.2014 in regard to the issuance of joint patta in respect of item Nos. 1 to 3 and issuance of separate patta in respect of item Nos. 4 and 5, this Court, based on equitable consideration, in the interest of justice and fair play, directs the second respondent to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 01.10.2014 in a fair, free, unbiased and dispassionate manner and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order. (Of course, after providing due opportunity to the petitioner and others concerned, if any by adhering to the principles of natural justice and in accordance with law).

With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
