L. Narayana Swamy, CJ

1.

The relief sought by the petitioner is a direction to respondent No.3 to consider the application made for the issuance of Scheduled Caste certificate,

despite of the fact that the same has been made in the year 2018.

2.

On instructions, the learned Additional Advocate General submits that the office of respondent No.3 submits that they do not have the copy of the

application stated to be made by the petitioner and in case petitioner approaches the competent authority, the same shall be processed and considered

and appropriate orders will be passed thereon, in accordance with law.

3.

We have heard learned counsel for both the parties.

4.

In view of submissions made by the learned Additional Advocate General that the application stated to be made by the petitioner in the year, 2018 is

not pending in the office of respondent No.3. Under these circumstances, we permit the petitioner to approach respondent No.3 by making a fresh

application for issuance of Scheduled Caste Certificate to the petitioner. If such application is made, the statutory authority/competent authority shall

consider the same and pass appropriate orders for issuance of Scheduled Caste Certificate to the petitioner within a period of three months from

today.

5.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
