The petitioner, who is a senior citizen aged 87 years, has approached this Court with a grievance that a matter, which is pending before the Tribunal
for Local Self Government Institutions, Thiruvananthapuram, has not been disposed of.
This Court had called for a report from the Tribunal and the same has been received. The Tribunal has reported that the respondents have already
filed their written statement and produced the relevant files and the case stands posted to 11.02.2022 for hearing. The Tribunal has stated that if both
sides are ready, it can be heard on 11.02.2022 itself and otherwise the matter can be disposed of within 15 days.
In view of the report submitted by the Tribunal for Local Self Government Institutions, this writ petition is disposed of directing the Tribunal for Local
Self Government Institutions, Thiruvananthapuram to hear and dispose of Appeal No.608/2021 at the earliest, at any rate, within one month from the
date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The Registry shall forward a copy of this judgment to the Tribunal for Local Self Government Institutions,
Thiruvananthapuram for compliance.
