Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order of transfer dated 23.8.2019 whereby the petitioner has been transferred from the Office of
Forest Ranger Officer, Chowki, Projection Forest Division, Rajnandgaon to the Office of Forest Ranger Officer, Dhawalpur, Projection Forest
Division, Gariyaband, District Gariyaband.
Contention of the counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has got just about 5 months' service left for his retirement as he is to retire from
service in February, 2020.
Given the short tenure of service left for the retirement of the petitioner, the order of transfer needs reconsideration.
Let the petitioner within 10 days from today make an appropriate representation to respondent no.2 who in turn shall consider and decide the same
as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of representation.
Till the representation is decided, the effect and operation of the impugned order of transfer shall remain stayed so far as the petitioner is
concerned.
With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
